In a groundbreaking development, the CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CMERI) has unveiled a 6kWp Solar Tree, a marvel of renewable energy technology. With 20 high-efficiency panels, this solar tree stands tall at 4 meters, spreading its sustainable energy canopy over a 9m by 6m area.

The Solar Tree is not just a feat of engineering; it’s a beacon of hope for remote areas. Equipped with 15 panels connected in a multiplexed manner, it can power AC loads up to 3kW or charge two 48V 60Ah battery banks in just 5-6 hours. Additionally, 5 dedicated panels ensure a 12V/24V 150Ah battery bank is charged in 6-7 hours, making it an ideal solution for areas with limited access to the grid.

This innovation is more than just a power source; it’s a symbol of the potential of renewable energy to transform lives and communities. With its unique design and efficient energy generation, the Solar Tree is set to light up the future, one panel at a time.
